This week in Year 4, we’ve been learning about the problem with plastic for STEM week. We’ve researched about it in Literacy, designed and made recycled plastic wallets and bags and designed posters to persuade people to think about the plastic they use.

Comic Relief in Class 10

We’ve been talking about what Comic Relief is and where our money that is raised goes.

Red Nose Day in Class 9

Today, we came to school wearing something red and donated £1 to Comic Relief. As a class, we discussed how the money we raise will help those less fortunate than us.

Hate Crime assembly with PC Claire

PC Claire came in to talk to Key Stage 2 this afternoon about hate crime. She explained what it is and what we can do if we ever experience it. After, we discussed in class how this would make us feel and we talked further about who can help us.

Creative inspiration from author David Weston

Today, Year 4 was visited by David Weston, who wrote the story The Wellington Cobbler and the Wrekin Giant. He is working with us to help us write our heritage story, A Horses Tale. David shared with us the process we will need to follow to write our story.

Silly Science assembly

Yesterday afternoon, we had a special silly science assembly, where we watched and took part in some exciting investigations and experiments. We had great fun, learning lots!
