Today in Year 4, we have used our outdoor learning, science and geography knowledge to write a story about the water cycle.

Blists Hill Visit Class 9

We have had a fantastic day at Blists Hill Victorian Town, particually enjoying our Victorian school experience, where we dressed up and took part in lessons and a drill. Here are a few pictures of our day.

Would you want to be a Victorian school child? After today I’m not sure Class 10 would want to be. This morning we dressed up and went to Victorian school and this afternoon we enjoyed the many sights and tastes of the museum.

Discovering our mining heritage

Today, year 4 was visited by Cliff, our local miner. He told us all about mining from the Victorian times up to the 1970s. He also helped us with our research about pit ponies for our heritage story, A Horses Tale.
