Fabulous French- learning the alphabet

Today, we continued learning the alphabet in French through singing songs. We also learnt about the origins of some French words that come from different countries. Finally, we completed a quiz to check what we had learnt.

Year 4 Easter Activities

Inspiring visit from author, Dave Weston

A group of children from both Class 9 and 10 worked with author Dave Weston this morning. They started writing the first two pages of the story A horses Tale. Dave was very impressed with their amazing word choices to set the scene.

Memorable moment making Victorian inspired tiles

This afternoon, Class 10 completed an artist workshop with Lindsay Pritchard. She told us about Victorian tile designs and then we designed and made our own. They look stunning and will soon be placed on display around school.

Year 4 Artist Visit

Today, we were visited by artist Lindsay Pritchard to help us create Victorian style tiles made out of plasticine. The children created some fantastic designs!

Planning our heritage story

Today, we finished planning our heritage story, ‘A horses tale’ which is all about a pit pony working in the Ketley mines.

This afternoon, we worked in groups to create a collage to display the processes involved in the water cycle, before presenting them to the class.
