Literacy:
Monday:
Use figurative language/descriptive language to describe the images below. Think about trying to include the following features: fronted adverbials, similes, metaphors, expanded noun phrases and exciting adjectives.

Tuesday:
Follow these slow write instructions to describe the image below. Practice writing in first person, as if you were a water droplet in the sea. I have written an example for you.

Sentence 1: Start with a fronted adverbial
Sentence 2: Include an expanded noun phrase.
Sentence 3: Include a simile
Sentence 4: Include alliteration
Feeling relaxed in the warm sea, I watched as the golden glow of the sun disappeared over the horizon. Gently, the soft, cool breeze of the wind caused me to bob along in the glistening, blue water. Hungry seagulls hovered over the water, like a lion stalking its prey. The salty sea surrounded me as the shining sun beamed down.
Wednesday:
Use the template below to plan your short story of a water droplet travelling through the water cycle. Remember, I would like you to include the key stages of the water cycle (evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection).
I have also written an example of the short story you will be writing tomorrow. You can use it to help with planning today and writing up tomorrow, but remember to make the ideas your own.

Thursday:
Write up your short story (using descriptive language) to describe the journey of a water droplet through the water cycle. Remember you are writing in first person (you are the water droplet).
Friday:
Finish off your stories and begin to proof read and edit and improve. A checklist has been set for you.
PSHE:
Internet safety activity has been set on Purple Mash.
RE: More guidance is written with each task on Purple Mash.
